Why does me get to have all the fun?

The other night on "Jeopardy!" during Alex Trebek's chat with the contestants, a man began his anecdote, "Me and my friends ..." All I can say is, Aaaaarrrgh! The lesson here is that, while you may have a great mind for trivia, me don't think you know how to speak so good ... er ... well. "Me" is an object pronoun. Actions are done to objects. Subjects perform the actions. "I" is a subject pronoun. You might properly say, "My friends and I had fun" or "I went with my friends to the game." You might even say, "My friends made me do it!" But please, let's drop the Tarzan talk.
